Parigi 01.05.2023, ore 9:30 - 10:30, tra Boulevard Voltaire e Boulevard Beaumarchais, poco prima delle manifestazioni del primo maggio. Monoliti interagiscono con il paesaggio urbano, relegandolo alla funzione di sfondo. Questa successione di rettangoli scuri ricorda la matericità dell'arte informale, imponendo la bidimensionalità dello schermo opaco. In questi totem, nelle loro pieghe lucide, non si intravede luce, qualcosa oltre il nero come nelle opere di Pierre Soulages, ma un rispecchiamento del presente, il segno premonitore di un accadimento tragico.
Paris, 01.05.2023, 9:30–10:30 a.m., between Boulevard Voltaire and Boulevard Beaumarchais, shortly before the May Day demonstrations. Monoliths interact with the urban landscape, relegating it to the role of a backdrop. This succession of dark rectangles evokes the materiality of Informal Art, asserting the two-dimensionality of an opaque surface. Within these totems, in their glossy folds, no light can be glimpsed — nothing beyond black, as in the works of Pierre Soulages — but rather a reflection of the present, the premonitory sign of a tragic event.
